The faucet should normally be mounted to a wall, post, mounting plate, or other stable support rather than hanging directly from flexible pipe.
This support protects the fitting from repeated handle torque, hose pulling, and accidental impact.
Check Pressure, Threads, Backflow, and Water Use
Thread compatibility matters because similar-looking plumbing threads are not necessarily interchangeable across international markets.
The adapter and faucet therefore need compatible thread standards and an appropriate sealing method.
An outdoor hose connection may also require backflow or vacuum-break protection under local plumbing rules. This helps prevent contaminated hose water from flowing backward toward the supply.
